OECD Programme, Budget and Financial Management (PBF) are the stewards of the OECD’s financial resources and the results-based management framework of the OECD. Our role is to support the Organisation in translating Member priorities into a funded Programme of Work and provide sound management of the Organisation’s financial resources. We facilitate programme and budget planning, advise on financial policy, manage core financial operations, and support the OECD’s governing bodies on budget and financial matters.

How we support OECD governance
The OECD’s financial resources are the responsibility of the Secretary-General, who is accountable for the efficient and effective management of the Organisation and its resources and assets. The Chief Financial Officer and the PBF team support the Secretary-General by establishing financial policies, procedures and guidance, providing financial advice and analysis, exercising controls, monitoring risk, and centralising reporting to the Secretary-General and Members.
PBF also supports the OECD Budget Committee, which advises the OECD Council on financial matters and on the Programme of Work and Budget. PBF facilitates the Committee’s work through financial analysis, advice, supporting information and administrative co-ordination.
