Through Peer Reviews on Development Finance Statistics, members of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) and the OECD jointly assess how countries collect, report and disseminate data on their development co-operation. These reviews help countries respond to the increasing demand for comprehensive, reliable and accessible statistics on development finance, in a context of frequent changes to reporting requirements, staff-turnover and often complex, decentralised reporting systems.
Iceland has been diligently verifying the eligibility of activities through a factsheet for each project. The country is encouraged to consider building links between the various existing databases to avoid manual steps, and ensure that the data are always up to date. Iceland is also encouraged to attribute and verify policy markers beyond the current coverage, to continue its effort to improve the Openaid.is website and to consider producing an annual report on its aid figures.
