The Action was carried out with funding by the European Union via the Structural Reform Support Programme and in cooperation with the European Commission’s Structural Reform Support Service. The co-operation with Tomislava Arh, Urška Kovač Zlobko, Gregor Greif and Damjana Šarčević from the Slovenian Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities; Barbara Gogala and Brigita Vončina from the Employment Service of Slovenia; Sabina Melavc from the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport; and Marko Bucik from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Structural Reform Support has been instrumental for the project and the report.
The report benefitted from discussions and meetings with a wide range of stakeholders during a fact-finding mission in June 2019, an online learning event organised in December 2020 and several follow-up meetings. The stakeholdes included representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities; central, regional and local offices of the Employment Service of Slovenia; the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport; Centres for Social Work; Career Centres; the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training; the National Education Institute; the Social Protection Institute; the Statistical Office of Slovenia; the Youth Department of the City of Ljubljana; non-governmental organisations and private companies working with young people; and associations and social partners.
The report benefited greatly from the administrative data provided by the Statistical Office of Slovenia and the Employment Service of Slovenia. The support of Tjaša Redek in merging and analysing the administrative data was instrumental for the successful completion of the work.
Comments on earlier versions of the report were provided by the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities; the Employment Service of Slovenia; the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport; the Working Group on Youth Guarantee; Marko Bucik (European Commission’s Directorate General for Structural Reform Support) as well as by Monika Queisser and Mark Pearson (OECD).
