In June 2009, Portugal presented its Written Follow-up Report, outlining its response to the Recommendations and Issues for follow-up adopted by the Working Group on Bribery at the time of Portugal's Phase 2 Examination in March 2007. The Working Group welcomed the information provided by the Portuguese authorities in the course of this exercise and acknowledged that Portugal has taken some steps to implement the Phase 2 recommendations.
