This policy paper presents the main findings from a diagnostic report and needs and gaps assessment carried out on evidence-informed policymaking in Belgium, and provides recommendations and suggested actions for strengthening it. The paper is structured in terms of the capacity for evidence-informed policymaking at the individual, organisational and interorganisational levels. It takes a holistic approach, looking at both the demand and supply of evidence, as well as at how evidence can be channelled through key decision-making tools and processes.
