Founded in 1991, the OECD Global Forum on Public Debt Management is a collaborative platform that brings together public debt managers, central bankers, and other financial policy makers from advanced and developing economies. The role of the Forum is to facilitate discussions on best practices, share experiences, and develop policies for effective government debt management and securities markets.
The 33rd edition took place on 3-4 March 2026 and included discussions on secondary market liquidity, digital financial instruments, on-lending in practice, and local currency bond market development (view the agenda).
The Global Forum is held as part of the OECD Financial Markets Week and is organised under the aegis of the OECD Working Party on Debt Management. The Forum is supported by the Government of Japan.
