However, the integration of these scientific advances into regulatory processes and decision making remains complex and uneven across jurisdictions.
Bridging the gap between rapidly evolving science and regulatory practice continues to be a shared challenge. Decision-makers require information that is credible, transparent and fit-for-purpose, while scientists and assessors seek clarity on how novel methods can be used within regulatory frameworks, informing risk assessment and risk management in a manner that maintains protection levels, enables efficient decision making and supports predictable requirements for industry.
This forum aims to bring together actors across the chemical management continuum, including regulators, scientists, policy analysts and other stakeholders, to explore key questions such as:
