11:00 - 11:20 Celebrating over a decade of triangular co‑operation: from experimentation to system relevance

Since the international triangular co‑operation community began meeting in Lisbon in 2012, the model has become widely recognised as a key tool to address global challenges and deliver results. Faced with interconnected crises, partnerships that leverage diverse resources, knowledge and capacities are more important than ever. Speakers will reflect on key milestones and how triangular co-operation can continue delivering impact in the years ahead.

11:20 - 13:00 Testimonies of powerful change

Lessons learned from triangular co-operation are often insufficiently documented, reducing their potential to influence policy. To address this gap, Portugal, the OECD and the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) launched a global call for evidence and results on triangular co-operation. Participants will hear about transformative triangular co-operation results and how these can be used to strengthen evidence, inform policies and mobilise resources.

14:30 - 16:00 Triangular partnerships, fragility and contributing to post-conflict reconstruction

Conflicts, crises and emergencies are becoming more frequent and protracted, while ODA is contracting. Against this backdrop, stronger and more effective partnerships are necessary to meet immediate humanitarian needs while promoting longer-term sustainable development. This session will explore how triangular partnerships can contribute to resilience and recovery, while sharing solutions from contexts facing high levels of fragility.

16:30 - 18:00 In-depth sessions: Triangular co-operation in transition

In these informal sessions, participants will exchange insights and co-develop practical solutions for navigating transition, crisis and change.
