The Public Debt Management Conference is a biennial event organised by the Public Debt Management (PDM) Network aiming at promoting dialogue among policymakers (debt managers, central bankers, regulators), academia and practitioners (investors, dealers, market infrastructure managers), to encourage knowledge-sharing and collaboration across organisations and disciplinary boundaries, and to foster the development and dissemination of best practices in public debt management and related policy issues.
The 4th edition of the Conference will focus on key topics including fiscal policy and debt sustainability in an uncertain macroeconomic environment, sovereign debt restructuring, and innovations in sustainable debt instruments. Furthermore, new findings on primary and secondary market functioning and investor dynamics, as well as transparency and governance in debt management strategies, will be presented and discussed.
The Conference will feature a keynote address by Sir Robert Stheeman, non-executive Director, Morgan Stanley, and former CEO of the UK Debt Management Office.
