The Conference on the Economics of Ageing and Longevity was held in Seoul, Korea, on 2–3 September 2026. This event was jointly organised by the OECD, the CEPR Research Policy Network on the Economics of Ageing and Longevity, and the Bank of Korea, which hosted the conference.
The conference brought together leading academics, policy experts, and senior policymakers to discuss the economic challenges associated with an ageing and shrinking population, to examine the potential for a longevity dividend, and to consider policies that can be implemented to strengthen economic growth and social welfare during a period of significant demographic transformation.
The conference was livestreamed via the Bank of Korea’s official YouTube channel.
