2026 OECD Policy Foresight Training Programme - inaugural cohort

The inaugural in-person cohort of the OECD Policy Foresight Training Programme took place in Paris from 28 September to 2 October 2026, bringing together 17 participants from around the world for an intensive four-day learning experience. Through practical workshops, expert guidance and peer exchange, participants explored strategic foresight methods and applied them to real policy and institutional challenges, developing practical approaches to anticipating change, navigating uncertainty and informing better policy decisions.

• I am going home with a ton of ideas and inspiration 

• This was the only training in 5 years that I did not bring my laptop to and where I stayed away from answering emails all day

• Overall, it was a phenomenal experience. Best training I ever attended. The passion and dedication from the facilitators was palpable.

• Loved working alongside people from security and climate and natural resources from govt- sectors I rarely get to engage with on this level and it was really interesting to see the similarities between my work and theirs. 

• Loved this. Absolutely worth the time and investment. I learned so much, and felt like I have found an intellectual "home" for the thinking and approach I have been craving for so long. 

• Appreciate access to the facilitators and the variety of approaches and presentation styles they bring. The variety was a reminder that there is no "right" way to do this. 

• The tone of all of the practitioners was warm, curious, open and excited for us. I never felt a "we know more than you" vibe- instead facilitators seemed excited for all that we would and could learn here and in the foresight disciple.
