Across the OECD, 61 people per 1 000 population aged 65 and over were estimated to be living with dementia in 2023, a figure set to rise as populations age. A recent OECD working paper examining 29 OECD countries highlights how national dementia policies have evolved over the past decade, revealing an increasing focus on prevention, early diagnosis, non-pharmacological approaches, workforce training, and caregiver support.
This webinar will present key findings of the OECD research and best practices from three OECD countries to exchange insights, reflect on national experiences, and discuss lessons learned with policymakers and practitioners in advancing dementia policy across OECD countries.
