Mr. Rodrigo Assumpção, CEO of Dataprev – the government social security technology and information services organisation in Brazil
Abstract
While demand for social services is growing, accessibility remains a challenge. Today, many people report that it is difficult to access public benefits and services: data from the OECD’s 27-country Risks that Matter Survey shows that on average only 31% of people feel they could easily receive public benefits if they needed them, and only 28% of respondents think the application process for social benefits would be simple and quick. Digital tools and AI hold significant potential to improve the accessibility of social support. In Brazil, Dataprev – the government social security technology and information services organisation – is strengthening its AI capacity and rolling out an AI-powered chatbot to provide timely guidance and support to those who need it.
Dataprev’s CEO, Rodrigo Assumpção presented on the roll-out of an AI-powered chatbot, and on building the infrastructure and skills needed to support the use of AI for social protection. Rodrigo’s presentation was followed by a Q&A and discussion with the audience, moderated by Monika Queisser, Head of Social Policy for the OECD.
