As global demand for critical minerals intensifies, new opportunities and risks are emerging across supply chains. With production and processing highly concentrated in a handful of countries, disruptions and geopolitical tensions can have far-reaching consequences for energy security and economic stability worldwide.
Through its Critical Minerals Initiative, the OECD aims to help countries diversify their supplies, capture greater value from their resources and ensure that supply chains support sustainable, inclusive and resilient growth.
The OECD Critical Minerals Forum will explore how countries can work together to build resilient critical mineral supply chains while supporting resource-rich countries develop local value and diversify their economies.
The Forum will provide a platform for high-level cross-regional dialogue between OECD Members, partner countries and key stakeholders from the private sector and civil society dedicated to developing solutions to shared challenges in the critical minerals space.
This event is part of the OECD Emerging Markets Forum Series organised by the OECD Istanbul Centre.
