This high-level conference is convened by the OECD and the World Bank Group, with the participation of the International Energy Agency, in response to the G7 mandate to strengthen resilient, transparent and sustainable critical mineral supply chains. This strategic priority has been implemented since 2023 by the G7 Presidencies of Japan, Italy and Canada.
As global demand for critical minerals continues to surge in support of the clean energy transition and other key segments of the global economy, countries are seeking effective means to secure diversified supply, reduce vulnerabilities and uphold strong environmental and social standards.
The conference will provide a platform for exchange on how to address these challenges and unlock public and private investment to further develop mineral value chains, including in developing countries.
Please note that attendance is by invitation only.
