State-owned enterprises (SOEs) play a vital role in Ukraine’s economy, particularly in strategically important sectors such as energy, transport, infrastructure and logistics. Ensuring that SOEs operate transparently, efficiently and with strong accountability is essential for strengthening economic resilience, supporting recovery and reconstruction, and enhancing long-term competitiveness.
This event marked the launch of the OECD Review of the Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises in Ukraine. It will provide an opportunity to present the review, together with the aligned reform priorities of the Ukrainian Government. The discussion aimed to identify actionable priorities that can support Ukraine in strengthening governance, improving performance and reinforcing accountability across the stateowned sector.
The Review assesses Ukraine’s alignment with the OECD Guidelines on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises and highlights key reform priorities to strengthen governance and performance across Ukraine’s essential SOE sector.
