OECD Roundtable on Corporate Sustainability Practices

The OECD Roundtable on Corporate Sustainability Practices will bring together business leaders, policymakers and experts to launch and discuss the Global Corporate Sustainability Report 2025.

Discussions will focus on how companies are advancing sustainability in practice, including in areas such as transparency in reporting, the role of boards, stakeholder engagement, human and labour rights, and how firms are setting and meeting greenhouse gas emission targets.  The event will also include a deep dive into the energy sector.

Session 1 | Corporate sustainability-related disclosure (15:00 – 16:30)

This session will examine recent developments in sustainability-related disclosure, including the initial adoption of the IFRS S1 and S2 standards and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). It will also feature original analysis on disclosures related to human and labour rights, as well as sustainability practices in listed state-owned enterprises.

Session 2 | Corporate sustainability in the energy sector (16:30 – 18:00)  

This second session will dive deeper into the energy sector. Topics will include greenhouse gas emission targets, lobbying activities, executive remuneration, and research and development. The panel will cover all listed companies, irrespective of ownership structure, and address the specific challenges faced by both oil and gas firms and companies more focused on low-carbon technologies.
