Scientific performance, for PISA, measures the scientific literacy of a 15-year-old in using scientific knowledge to identify questions, acquire new knowledge, explain scientific phenomena, and draw evidence-based conclusions about science-related issues.
An asterisk (*) next to the name of a country or economy indicates that caution is required when interpreting results, as one or more PISA sampling standards were not met.
This indicator is measured as a mean score.
