The data includes activities reported in the OECD-DAC Creditor Reporting System using the “Rio markers” (i.e. climate adaptation and climate mitigation) and using “climate components” as per the methodologies agreed by multilateral development banks.
Reporting on Rio markers by DAC members became mandatory in 2006. Provider coverage varies across years. Data include climate-related development finance from bilateral, multilateral and private philanthropic sources.
In this dashboard, the European Investment Bank is presented separately from the EU institutions under the “Multilateral development bank” grouping as it reports “climate components” while the other EU institutions report the Rio markers.
