State-owned enterprises and competitiveness: New risks, new strategies

This high-level roundtable was held on 2 June prior to the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting (MCM) 2026, and was co-organised by Finland, MCM Chair. The event provided a platform to share views on how SOEs can contribute to national competitiveness in an increasingly risk-prone global environment. Participants included Sakari Puisto, Minister of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland, and Mathias Cormann, OECD Secretary-General.
