Webinar | Do schools need to adapt faster to a warming world?
Rising temperatures are increasingly disrupting children’s education. In 2025, temperatures exceeded 40°C in many parts of the world and climate projections suggest many students will face far more extreme heat days by 2050. This has serious implications for education systems that do not adapt, including undermining concentration and well-being in class, as well as forcing some schools to shut down. In this webinar, a panel of experts discussed findings from a new paper, which combines primary school-level population data with climate projections and assess the future risks to students as well as potential solutions.
