In this episode of Top Class Podcast, the OECD's Director of Education & Skills Andreas Schleicher, outlines the main findings from the new OECD Survey of Adult Skills. This once-in-a-decade survey measured the ability of adults to read and understand text, work with numbers and solve complex problems across 31 countries and economies. The survey found that one in five adults are now considered low performers in literacy, numeracy and problem solving, and in many places, the lowest performing adults saw the biggest declines in skills over the past decade. Hear more of the key findings, and what can be done.
