The No Hate Speech Movement is a youth campaign led by the Council of Europe Youth Department seeking to mobilise young people to combat hate speech and promote human rights online. Launched in 2013, it was rolled out at the national and local levels through national campaigns in 45 countries. The movement remains active through the work of various national campaigns, online activists and partners.
The No Hate Speech Movement website provides information about the campaign and the resources developed to prevent, counter and produce alternative narratives to hate speech. It includes a compendium of more than 270 resources developed within the No Hate Speech Movement, whether by national campaigns, partners or the Council of Europe.
The site also offers social media resources for campaigners and a library of the achievements of the first five years of the campaign, as well as links to the full range of Council of Europe work on hate speech projects.
