Spending Better for Children through Social Policy will be released at 09:30 CEST on Monday 5 October 2026.
The new OECD report examines how countries can get better results from social spending on children, improving child well-being while supporting the long-term sustainability of public finances. Drawing on new cross-country evidence, it identifies policy approaches that are most effective in reducing child poverty and improving educational and health outcomes.
OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann will open the launch event, followed by a presentation of the report’s main findings by Romina Boarini, Director of the OECD WISE Centre and a roundtable discussion with international and national experts. See the full agenda.
