The OECD will launch the ninth report of its Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) on Tuesday 8 September 2026 9:30 CEST.
PISA is the world’s largest international comparative survey of 15-year-old students, assessing the extent to which they have acquired key knowledge and skills essential for full participation in social and economic life. Science was the focus for this 2025 edition, together with results for reading, mathematics and computational problem solving.
OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann will present the report’s key findings at 09:30 CEST at a virtual global press conference on 8 September. This will be followed by a presentation of the main results by Andreas Schleicher, Director at the OECD’s Directorate for Education and Skills. Mr. Schleicher will then take questions from the press.

At 12:00 CEST (11:00 BST), Andreas Schleicher will then take part in the Western Europe and North America launch, which will take place in-person at the University College London. He will present the key findings of the report and take questions from the press. Journalists wishing to participate on-site or watch virtually are invited to register here.
