The OECD will release the first edition of the Foundations for Growth and Competitiveness report on Thursday 9 April, starting at 09:30 CEST (07:30 GMT).
The report will be presented by OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann and Chief Economist Stefano Scarpetta, followed by a roundtable discussion with Alvaro Santos Pereira, Governor of the Bank of Portugal, and Jeromin Zettelmeyer, Director of Bruegel.
The report looks at structural reforms in policy areas that have been identified as priorities to lift growth in 48 OECD and non-OECD countries. The selection of priorities is supported by a new database of internationally comparable indicators that enable policymakers to assess their economic performance and structural policies in a wide range of areas, and a newly developed policy prioritisation model.
Details on the policy priorities are addressed in individual country notes.
