The OECD will present its latest Economic Survey of Austria on Thursday, 19 March 2026. The Survey looks at the country’s recent performance and how it can boost growth to build a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable economy.
OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann will present the Survey's findings alongside Austria’s Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger, Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA); Minister Korinna Schumann, Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (BMASGPK); Minister Markus Marterbauer, Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) and State Secretary Barbara Eibinger-Miedl, Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) at a press conference at 10:30 CET / 9:30 GMT. The event will take place at the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA), Minoritenplatz 8, 1010 Vienna.

The authors of the OECD Economic Survey of Austria will open with a presentation, guiding attendees through the OECD’s analysis, its methodology, and its recommendations for Austrian policymakers. Following this, Austrian economists will share their expertise and perspectives on the Economic Survey’s findings.
The discussion will subsequently be opened to the audience for questions and views.
