Dr Monica Brezzi is Deputy Director in the OECD Statistics and Data Directorate (SDD). Before joining SDD in 2025, she held different positions at the OECD, Council of Europe Development Bank and the Italian Ministry of Economy where she led international efforts to develop new metrics on policy issues related to trust in government, effective public services, regional and urban development, and public investment. She spearheaded the creation of the OECD survey on Drivers of Trust in Public Institutions and a novel Global Database on Metropolitan Areas.
