The EU-funded “EU4Environment” Programme, launched in 2019, helps six Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, preserve their natural capital and increase people’s environmental well-being. It supports environment-related actions, demonstrating and unlocking opportunities for greener growth, and setting mechanisms to better manage environmental risks and impacts.
The regional component of the EU Water Initiative (EUWI) focuses on Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA). It supports work of the European Neighbourhood Policy and of the EU-Central Asia Platform for Environment and Water Cooperation, and helps to promote the progressive approximation to EU water policies, particularly to the EU Water Framework Directive, in EECCA countries.

This case study focuses on capacity building work with the Georgia tax authorities. The hands-on, practical approach of support from the joint OECD/UNDP Tax Inspectors Without Borders initiative has improved auditors’ skills and confidence in managing complex transfer pricing audit cases.
