Through Peer Reviews on Development Finance Statistics, members of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) and the OECD jointly assess how countries collect, report and disseminate data on their development co-operation. These reviews help countries respond to the increasing demand for comprehensive, reliable and accessible statistics on development finance, in a context of frequent changes to reporting requirements, staff-turnover and often complex, decentralised reporting systems. Denmark has advanced IT systems and automated tools for managing development co-operation and tracking financial commitments. The country is encouraged to organise regular trainings of programme officers in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, so that they are well aware of what can be reported as ODA, and to prevent any loss of institutional memory related to possible staff turnover. Denmark is also encouraged to support a second version of the openaid.dk website to make the interface more user-friendly and add new features.
