Abstract

The State of Health in the EU Country Health Profiles offer concise, policy-relevant analyses of health systems across EU and European Economic Area member states. Each profile highlights distinctive national characteristics and challenges within a comparative European context, designed to facilitate mutual learning and evidence-informed policy dialogue among decision makers and stakeholders. The 2025 edition features a dedicated section on pharmaceutical policy. These profiles represent a collaborative effort by the OECD and the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, in co-operation with the European Commission.
