In the socio-economic context of rapid population ageing, the digital transformation, efforts to lower carbon emissions, and the recovery from the unprecedented shock of the COVID-19 pandemic, investing in the skills development of adults is becoming increasingly important. Supporting investments in skills can help countries to address economic and social challenges and foster a more resilient and productive workforce. This note describes different options that policy makers have at their disposal to foster formal co-ordination on adults’ skill policies.
