India has met all aspects of the terms of reference (OECD, 2021[1]) (ToR) for the calendar year 2024 (year in review), except for the timely exchange of information on future rulings (ToR II.B.6.2). India receives one recommendation on this point for the year in review.
In the prior year report, as well as in the 2017-2022 peer reviews, India had received the same recommendation. During the year in review, India improved the timelines of the exchanges. However, as there were still delayed exchanges, the recommendation remains in place.
India can legally issue two types of rulings within the scope of the transparency framework.
