Editors
Aida Caldera is head of division at the OECD’s Economics Department leading an international team of economists covering nine European and Latin American countries carrying out macroeconomic and structural policy surveillance, preparing regular economic reviews of OECD member and non-member economies, doing forecasts and giving policy advice to governments. Previously, Ms Caldera Sánchez held several positions in the OECD Economics Department working with OECD member economies, finance ministries, central banks and international fora (G7 and G20) and IFIs (e.g. IMF, WB) on a wide range of macroeconomic and structural policy issues. Most recently, she was Counsellor to the OECD Chief Economist and head of the OECD Chief Economist office. Before joining the OECD, Ms Caldera Sánchez worked for several leading European organisations doing policy-oriented economic analysis including the European Investment Bank, France’s Central Bank, and the think-tank Bruegel. Earlier on in her career she worked in the private sector as a financial analyst.
Jens Matthias Arnold is head of division at the OECD’s Economics Department. He joined the OECD in 2006 working on a wide range of emerging and advanced economies across Asia, Latin America, Europe and Africa, on issues including macroeconomics, regulatory policies, industry dynamics, productivity growth, international trade and investment, taxation, social policies, labour markets and environmental policies. Previously, he was with the World Bank’s Research Department and has been an external academic lecturer at Sciences Po in Paris from 2006 to 2011. His academic research has been published in the Economic Journal, the Journal of International Economics and the Review of International Economics.
