The Berlin-based event series “DIW-OECD Industrial Strategy Dialogues” was launched on 8 December 2025. It serves as a forum bringing together leading representatives from policymaking, industry, civil society, and academia to exchange insights on the latest research and explore which industrial policy approaches are most effective for Germany, Europe, and their global partners in tackling today’s major challenges.
Effective industrial strategies depend on coherent and carefully crafted policy frameworks that align multiple fields of action. These include trade and competition policy, as well as technology and innovation policy, alongside standard-setting, regulatory frameworks, and skills development initiatives.
