The Patient-Reported Indicator Surveys (PaRIS) is the OECD’s international initiative to collect patient-reported outcomes and experiences from users of primary care, with a particular focus on people living with chronic conditions. By systematically capturing patients’ own assessments of their health and care experiences, PaRIS provides a unique and valuable perspective for assessing the performance of healthcare systems across OECD countries and beyond.
This webinar explores how the OECD PaRIS data can be used to support research on patient-reported outcomes and experiences in primary care. It goes beyond a general introduction to the dataset to highlight its unique multi-level design, methodological strengths, and potential applications for comparative health system analysis.
Drawing on insights from researchers and analysts working with the data, the webinar will present selected findings from the international dataset and showcase examples of studies conducted using the PaRIS public use files. It will provide practical guidance on accessing, analysing, and interpreting PaRIS data in different research contexts.
The interactive discussion will bring these opportunities to life, illustrating how PaRIS data can generate new evidence on patient experiences and outcomes and contribute to research that informs health policy and system improvement.
