Disaggregating data for high impact development policies

The lack of disaggregated data hampers the design of effective and inclusive policies across the world. Granular and disaggregated data shed light on well-being of specific population groups and communities, how these are affected by policy interventions and whether interventions are considered fair by these groups and communities. Better use of disaggregated data can help make public acceptability a key consideration in the design of policies. This online workshop, organised by the OECD WISE Centre in collaboration with the OECD Directorate for Development Co-operation, convened experts, policymakers and civil society to discuss the use of disaggregated data for development and explore current challenges.
