We are very pleased to invite you to the upcoming Conference on the Economics of Longevity and Ageing, taking place on June 17-18, 2025, in Athens, Greece. This event is jointly organised by the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), the OECD Crete Centre, and the Delphi Economic Forum, and marks the inaugural meeting of the newly established Research Policy Network on the Economics of Longevity and Ageing within CEPR.
The conference will explore important topics related to ageing and longevity, including the macroeconomic impact of longer lives, implications of demographic shifts for the evolution of real interest rates, ageing and wealth accumulation, policies to enhance productivity and growth in an ageing society, and how to redesign institutions for the longevity society. This two-day event will convene academics and policymakers to exchange views, share experiences, and explore policy options to address challenges related to population ageing.
On Day 1, the programme will include two sessions: the first will focus on ageing, longevity, and monetary policy, and the second on health, ageing, and growth.
Day 2 will feature a session focused on re-designing institutions for the longevity society.
Stay tuned for more details on the programme. We hope you will join us for this opportunity to gain expert insights, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and connect with decision-makers shaping economic policy for the future.
