While there is a recognised need to make progress, understanding the fiscal implications of environmental pressures and decarbonisation is difficult. Data are often scarce, methodologies are complex, and future climate scenarios are inherently uncertain.
To support this work, the OECD has developed this analytical tool to evaluate the fiscal consequences of environmental pressures and decarbonisation.
The tool provides a structured, user-friendly framework that can empower institutions to begin this critical analysis, even in the absence of extensive prior expertise.
