This dashboard consists of two parts. The first part of the dashboard presents the characteristics of tertiary education programmes across OECD and accession countries. It is divided into four sections by education level, showing key features such as typical starting age, duration, admission criteria, and international student access.
The second part explores completion/drop out rates by programme level (short-cycle tertiary (ISCED 5), bachelor’s degree (ISCED 6), and long-first degree (ISCED 7)), timeframe, programme orientation at upper secondary level, type of institution (public vs. private), field of education, parental attainment and immigrant background.
It also explores insights into the prevalence of taking a gap year/delayed entry into tertiary education across countries.
