The Staff Association is the only statutory body of the Organisation to represent all OECD staff. While its main purpose is to defend the professional interests and improve the employment and working conditions of all members of staff, it also seeks to inform, advise and assist staff, regardless of their status, category, job family, or the duration of their contract.
The Staff Association is consulted on any planned modifications or amendments to employment conditions, and it is also a driving force behind many proposals aimed at strengthening the rights of staff. In addition, it offers legal counselling to its members and can assist them in the event of a referral to an internal appeal body.
The Staff Association is composed of Staff representatives from across the Organisation, who echo the opinions and concerns expressed by staff and convey their concerns to the Staff Association.
For the current mandate 2026-2027, Jeremy Maddison is the Staff Association Chair, and Clelia Lo Presti-Conin and Aline Renert-Djian are the Staff Association Co-chairs. They work daily on all the issues addressed by the Association.
