The OECD Pensions Outlook 2026: Are We Saving Enough for Retirement? will be launched on Wednesday 4 November from 14:00 to 18:00 CET, during OECD Financial Markets Week.
The Outlook, focused on asset-backed pensions, examines the growth of pension assets in 2025 and over the longer term, looking at the role of contributions, investment income and pension payments. It assesses whether people are contributing enough to achieve their retirement income objectives and the potential need for voluntary contributions to complement mandatory pensions.
The report also examines how pension and insurance investors account for sustainability risks in their portfolios, the benefits and potential downsides of financial advice for retirement decisions and how the taxation of inherited pensions can affect the use of asset-backed pension plans.
