The OECD will host the 2026 Global Forum on Building Trust and Reinforcing Democracy on 12-13 October at the OECD Conference Centre, Paris.
The Forum will explore challenges and opportunities identified through the OECD’s Government Unstuck agenda. OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann will deliver opening remarks, followed by two days of discussions with Ministers, government officials, members of academia and civil society, industry and OECD experts.
Journalists wishing to attend (either in person or online) need to register by contacting GlobalForumDemocracy@oecd.org, and providing an official press card. Those attending in person must also present photo-ID upon arrival at the OECD. Practical information on access to the venue and the programme is available here.
This event will include the launch of the new report Government Unstuck: The Next Frontier of Government Transformation on 12 October. Based on existing cutting-edge practices in governments across OECD countries, the report outlines a vision for governments that is simpler, more agile, proactive, and connected to citizens.
Journalists can request a copy of the report under embargo, thereby undertaking to respect the OECD’s embargo procedures, by emailing embargo@oecd.org and specifying which report they would like to receive. Embargoed copies will be sent out 24 hours before the launch.
For any other information, journalists are invited to contact Olivier Clavet in the OECD Media Office (+33 1 45 24 97 00).
