The OECD will release its annual Steel Outlook 2026 on Thursday 4 June at 9:00 AM CEST (Paris time). The Steel Outlook is the OECD’s annual analysis of the world steel market. It provides the most up to date figures and the medium-term outlook showing developments in the world steel market by area, and the main characteristics, apparent consumption, trade and production trends in the steel industry globally.
The Outlook will be released in the context of the OECD 2026 Ministerial Council Meeting (MCM), taking place on 3 and 4 June 2026, under the theme of “Getting Industrial Policies Right for Open Markets, Growth and Prosperity.” For more information on the 2026 MCM, chaired by Finland, with the Republic of Korea and New Zealand as Vice-Chairs, please visit here.
