The OECD Critical Minerals Forum on ‘Unlocking Investment and Growth through Partnership’ will take place on 28 and 29 April 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye.
As critical minerals have become central to economic security given their role in technologies, ranging from semiconductors to renewable energy, unlocking investment and strengthening partnerships will be key to diversifying supply chains and reducing vulnerabilities linked to market concentration.
The Forum will bring together policymakers, industry and international partners to discuss how to promote open and well-functioning markets, strengthen partnerships with producer countries, enhance supply chain resilience and mobilise public and private finance to diversify mineral supply and processing.

A new OECD report ‘OECD Inventory of Export Restrictions on Critical Raw Materials 2026’ will be released during the Forum. The report, which tracks trends in export restrictions and international trade in critical raw materials, will be launched at 12:00 Local Time (11:00 CEST) on 28 April by:
