The 12th OECD Forum on Green Finance and Investment will take place on 7-8 October 2025 in Paris and online. This year’s Forum will together policymakers, investors, regulators, and experts for two days of discussions on how to scale up finance for a low-emission, climate-resilient future.
Against the backdrop of accelerating climate risks – with 2024 recorded as the warmest year ever and the first to exceed an average of 1.5 °C of global warming – the Forum will explore how investment in sustainability can strengthen economic resilience and deliver development benefits.
New OECD–UNDP analysis shows that aligning investment in the clean energy transition with the Sustainable Development Goals could lift an additional 175 million people out of extreme poverty by 2050. Enhanced Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) could raise global GDP by up to 3% by mid-century compared to current policies.
Confirmed high-level speakers include:
- Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General, OECD (video remarks)
- Yves-Laurent Sapoval, Ministerial Delegate for Sustainable Cities-Urban Envoy, Ministry of the Ecological Transition, France
- Marie Lam-Frendo, Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Committee Member, Meridiam
- Tomohiro Ishikawa, Chief Regulatory Engagement Officer, MUFG
The Forum will also see the release of a new OECD paper, Scaling finance and investment for climate adaptation, developed in collaboration with the African Development Bank. The report highlights key barriers to investment in adaptation and sets out options to mobilise finance flows for climate-resilient development.
