Bribery: United Kingdom Will soon publish guidance for the implementation of new Bribery Act

18/03/2011 - The OECD’s Working Group on Bribery has today received assurances from the highest levels of the UK government that the guidance necessary to implement the nation’s Bribery Act 2010 will be published shortly.

“We look forward to receiving the guidance in a timely manner,” said Mark Pieth, Chair of the Group.  “We trust that it will be in line with the UK’s Bribery Act 2010 and the government’s stated aim of fighting against transnational bribery and international corruption - creating a level playing field for business.”

The Working Group will evaluate the guidance and the UK’s Bribery Act during its Phase 3 evaluation and an on-site visit to the UK in October 2011.
