Paris, France | 25-26 April 2017
This Conference brought senior policy makers and communications professionals from governments together with representatives of civil society, business, workers and consumers. It was an integral part of OECD’s response to the anti-trade sentiment which is increasingly prevalent in some countries.
The first session explored the geography and demography of evolving attitudes to trade and globalisation. The second compared experiences, both successes and failures, in consultation and communication on these issues. For the third session, participants in the Conference and delegates to the regular meeting of the OECD Trade Committee came together to discuss the underlying policy issues and how they can be reflected in a more inclusive trade narrative.
