Download OECD Policy Guidance on Radio Frequence Identification (RFID)

This document includes OECD guidance by the Committee for Information, Computer and Communications Policy (ICCP) on Radio Frequency Identification to enhance business and consumer benefits from the use of RFID while proactively taking into account security and privacy concerns.  The first half of the 14 policy principles cover government and business policies and practices to increase the use of, and economic benefits from, wider applications of RFID and emerging related sensor applications. The other half provide all stakeholders with guidance to support the implementation of the Security and Privacy Guidelines when they deploy RFID systems.

The document also includes two background reports on:
