IEA/ISI Strategic Forum 2015 and HLEG Workshop on Measuring Economic, Social and Environmental Resilience

In 2012, the International Economic Association (IEA) and the International Statistical Institute (ISI) established a Strategic Forum to promote new measurement and analytical frameworks and tools for “equitable and sustainable well-being”. These Forums are organised jointly with the High-Level Expert Group on the Measurement of Economic Performance and Social Progress (HLEG), hosted by the OECD, that was established in 2013 to follow-up on the recommendations of the Commission on the Measurement of Economic Performance and Social Progress (also known as the Stiglitz-Sen-Fitoussi Commission), and to provide impetus and guidance to the various initiatives currently ongoing on measuring people’s well-being and societies’ progress.

The 2015 IEA-ISI Strategic Forum, was held on 25-26 November 2015 in Rome, Italy under the theme "measuring economic, social and environmental resilience". The event brought together experts in the field of measuring the different dimensions of resilience to discuss the most recent developments and possible future developments.
